Los Angeles, CA - March 21, 2024 - WeBook is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of "The Forest in Danger: Floresta em Perigo," the debut bilingual children's book in English and Portuguese from The Backpackers of Imagination series. Written by Sheylla Gonçalves and beautifully illustrated in watercolor by Becca Lacerda, the book launch event happens this Saturday, March 23rd, from 2 pm to 3 pm at Barnes & Noble The Grove in Los Angeles. The renowned Brazilian voice actress and director Mabel Cezar will moderate the panel with the author.
"The Forest in Danger: Floresta em Perigo” combines children's fiction and environmental education elements to deliver an enchanting tale of adventure and conservation. Readers will join Backpacker Shey and her loyal companion, Crystal the doggie, as they journey through nature and learn valuable lessons about protecting the environment. Guided by Tony the Lion's storytelling, the characters will confront the challenges of a forest in peril and discover the importance of caring for our planet.
Sheylla Gonçalves, a talented storyteller, actress, and voice artist from Rio de Janeiro who has lived in Los Angeles for over a decade, brings her passion for storytelling and environmental advocacy to life in this captivating children’s book. With over thirty years of experience in the entertainment industry, including recognition for her voice acting work at the prestigious Society of Voice Arts and Science awards, Gonçalves is excited to share her latest creation with children and families worldwide.
