Born to a mix indigenous mother and a Mexican father, MARIA ACERO is a reconnecting native of the Tarahumara of Chihuahua attempting to reconnect with their mother’s people while making their own mark on the world.

Having recently graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a MA in English Literature and Rhetoric, Maria works in publishing to help diversify the literature available by providing her expertise in copyediting and partnering with lesser-known writers to elevate the underrepresented.
